Segreganset is the middle of our home town — the stretch of Dighton along Route 138 where the Segreganset River winds toward the Taunton. These are streets we drive every single day, usually with the trailer already loaded.

Soil along the Segreganset drains fast and runs acidic — the same low-5s pH we see across town. Lime comes first, slow-release feeding second, because fertilizer on acidic sand is money washing toward the river — a soil test is available any time you want that lime rate confirmed exactly. Once pH is corrected, these full-sun lawns respond faster than almost any we treat.
Big unshaded yards green up early and cook late — by mid-August, shallow-rooted turf on this sand goes crispy in a week without rain. The program builds against that on purpose: potassium before heat, mowing high, and deep roots from fall aeration that carry the lawn through the dry stretch.
Being five minutes from the shop means Segreganset gets applications the day conditions turn right — pre-emergent the week soil hits temperature, grub prevention before July egg-lay, aeration the moment late-August moisture arrives. Timing is half of turf care, and nobody gets tighter timing than our own town.
